Dr. Matthew Dombrow, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist dedicated to serving patients with superior care at Connecticut Retina Consultants with locations in New Haven, Hamden, and Madison, Connecticut. He also performs vitreoretinal surgery at ambulatory facilities in Hamden and Trumbull, CT.
After graduating magna cum laude from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, with his undergraduate degree, Dr. Dombrow attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, as a Golding Scholar. He went on to train in ophthalmology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, serving as chief resident in his final year. To further expand his education and knowledge, Dr. Dombrow completed a medical and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Dr. Dombrow is an expert in his field treating patients for diabetic retinopathy, floaters and flashes, macular degeneration, macular pucker, retinal detachment, retinal tears, retinal holes, scleral buckling, uveitis, vitrectomy, and more. He’s especially interested in recurrent and complex retinal detachment repair.
