Dr. Wayne I. Larrison

Dr. Wayne I. Larrison received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the Columbia University School of Engineering where he was named to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine where he was named to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He next completed both his Ophthalmology residency and Retina fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School before coming to Connecticut in 1990 where he founded Connecticut Retina Consultants. Dr. Larrison has continued to engage in clinical research and has served as the Principal Investigator on national trials evaluating treatments for Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, and retinal vascular diseases. He also serves as an adviser on the Medical Devices Panel of the Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Larrison is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians, and American Academy of Ophthalmology. He maintains an appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Medicine. He performs Minimally Invasive Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at ambulatory facilities in New Haven and Guilford, CT in addition to many in -office procedures. He has particular interests in Macular Diseases and Diabetic Retinopathy.
